Beginning December 29, 2000, the SFA download site is hosting version 7.0 of FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Express 2001-2002 Software for download. FAFSA Express users enjoy the benefits of Electronic Data Exchange, eliminating delays from mailing and ensuring faster receipt of an official Expected Family Contribution from the Department of Education. The software also speeds the application process by automatically checking electronic FAFSA data, resulting in fewer rejected applications.

Any questions about FAFSA Express should be addressed to our Customer Service Staff at FAFSA_Admin@ncs.com. The Department of Education has also established a customer service line for FAFSA users. If you need assistance with hardware, software, or transmission, as well as checking the status of your submitted electronic FAFSA application, please contact FAFSA Express Customer Service at 1-800-801-0576 / TTY 1-800-511-5806.

The Department is pleased to announce the release of 2000-2001 Quality Analysis Tool for Windows, Version 1.0. This software product is a new and significantly different program that replaces the former Quality Assurance Program for Windows software product. The 2000-2001 Quality Assurance Program for Windows Installation Guide and Cover Letter are also available through this site. The Desk Reference will continue to be mailed to you.

The Department is pleased to announce the release of 2001-2002 Renewal Applications for Windows, Version 1.0. This new software product helps you import and print your Renewal Application Data (RAD) with minimal data entry. You can enter and export Type 2 RAD Requests, import RAD data, and regenerate Type 2 RAD Requests. You also can print various reports and lists. The Renewal Applications for Windows Installation Guide and Cover Letter are also available through this site.

A new download utility from Forty Software called "Download Wonder" is now available through the SFAdownload Utilities page. This utility can enable users to download large files, with long download times, without losing their ISP connection.

However, if you have successfully installed FISAP for Windows, version 3.0, you do not need to install this version.
